Former Enron Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Skilling was sentenced to more than 24 years in prison by a US district judge in Houston, Texas, on Monday for his role in an accounting scandal that brought down what was once the United States' seventh largest company. US District Court Judge Sim Lake sentenced Skilling after hearing testimony from several victims in the case. Skilling was convicted in May on 19 counts of fraud, conspiracy and insider trading in the case.
